Twitter is down!! Is facebook next??
Twitter is down!! Is facebook next??
August 6, 2009
by James Allen Pauley-BarkerTwitter has been down since this morning…bummer this is the very first thing I do in the mornings after turning on my computer.
I first noticed something was wrong when I attempted to run my automation software (check out my website if your curious of the automation app I use for Twitter) that kept getting no response status…the rest is history and is now my present deliminator!!
The last update that I’m getting from Twitter is that of -
We are defending against a denial-of-service attack, and will update status again shortly.
Update: the site is back up, but we are continuing to defend against and recover from this attack.
Update (9:46a): As we recover, users will experience some longer load times and slowness. This includes timeouts to API clients. We’re working to get back to 100% as quickly as we can.
Earlier that more I was getting the same message as most of you were that Twitter’s status site merely states:
Site is down 19 minutes ago
We are determining the cause and will provide an update shortly.Of course I noticed that people were doing the same as me..going back to my next favorite social media site “facebook” to find out why Twitter was down, that when I took notice that facebook could be next, I started to get questions from my friends like “Is anyone else having problems with their facebook this morning?” shortly after that I starting to experience longer load times on facebook.
So, being assumptive I think this reaction about Twitter is starting to effect facebook as well.
Stay tuned for more updates….

The Peter Morrison Report
Hello Friends,
James here,
I wanted to take this moment to thank each and everyone of you for taking time to visit my blog.
Please note that I’m just forwarding and posting this Peter Morrison report to keep you my friends posted on the changes we the constitutes are making in our Government. It is very important that “We The People” get involved and keep ourselves knowledgeable about these changes, so we can take the significant steps to getting our government back in the right direction to following our Constitution.
Summary of this week’s The Peter Morrison report:
It’s been a great couple of weeks for immigration activists, and
we’ve seen several good amendments approved in the US Senate. Now
let’s keep the pressure on and make sure they are passed into laws.
In a victory for Texans, both of our senators voted the right way
on all of these votes.
The full report:
The past few weeks have seen some promising signs from Congress for
patriotic Americans who want something done – and done now – about
the onslaught of illegal immigrants who have invaded our country.
I’m talking about real, tangible votes, not just statements or
campaign promises from politicians. We’ve all heard the platitudes
from politicians who love to tell us what they know we want to hear
during campaign season, but then turn around and betray us once the
election is over. We’re all sick of getting stabbed in the back by
people whose first loyalties are to big business or left wing lobby
groups, not the voters who elected them. It’s a nice change to
have some good news to report. These aren’t final victories, but
they’re significant steps in the right direction.
The first piece of good news was when the US Senate adopted the
DeMint Border Fence Amendment. Sponsored by GOP Senator Jim DeMint
of South Carolina, if this bill becomes law it will require the
federal government to finally complete the 700 mile fence along our
southern border, by December 31st 2010. This is urgently needed,
and will go a long way toward decreasing the number of illegal
aliens coming to America. President Bush signed the law
authorizing the fence years ago, but since then very little actual
work has been completed on it. It’s high time the federal
government kept its promise to the American people by getting this
fence up as soon as possible.
The same day the DeMint Amendment passed, the Senate also approved
the E-Verify Amendment sponsored by Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama,
another Republican. E-Verify is a way employers can check the
citizenship status of employees or applicants with a government
database, and get a nearly instant response. The liberals in
Congress have so far refused to mandate that all American companies
use it, even as unemployment for real Americans is going through
the roof. If the Sessions E-Verify Amendment becomes law, then all
federal contractors will have to run all their newly hired
employees through the system, which will mean illegal aliens won’t
be benefiting from high paying government contract jobs.
On July 9th, the Senate passed another E-Verify amendment. This
one was sponsored by GOP Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, and it will
allow employers who use the E-Verify system to check the status of
all their employees, not just new hires. Incredibly, federal law
now prohibits employers from checking the status of anyone except
new employees. Clearly, the liberals in Congress don’t want
illegal aliens to lose their jobs, or this bill wouldn’t even be
necessary. Every employer in America should be required to verify
the status of each of their employees. That’s the long term goal;
until we get there this amendment becoming law would be a huge
improvement over the current situation.
We achieved another victory in the Senate on July 9th with the
passage of Sen. David Vitter’s (R-LA) No Match Amendment. The
title refers to a rule passed under President Bush which allowed
the Social Security Administration to notify employers if a Social
Security number being used by one of their employees doesn’t match
the worker’s name. This is another example of a law that should be
mandatory for all employers, not optional, as it leads to the
detection of many illegal aliens using false Social Security
numbers. Unfortunately, it’s only optional at this time, and if
Obama and the liberals have their way, the rule would be repealed
altogether. If the Vitter Amendment becomes law, however, Obama
won’t easily be able to rescind the rule.
While it’s important to keep in mind that none of these amendments
have been enacted into law, they nonetheless represent a remarkable
achievement that would not have been possible without your efforts,
and the efforts of tens of thousands of other patriotic Americans
who are concerned about illegal immigration. It’s because of
people like you who have worked tirelessly to let your Congressmen
and Senators know just how strongly you feel about this issue that
we’ve gotten these bills this far. As recently as a few months
ago, none of these amendments would have had a chance. Now there’s
a good chance that one or more of them may become the law of the
land.
Hopefully the politicians in Washington, DC are finally starting to
feel the heat. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama thought
they had everything under control, but that control is starting to
slip away, especially when it comes to illegal immigration. Up
until now, Reid and Pelosi have been able to use the powers of
their offices to keep amendments and bills like these ones off the
table, and even the less liberal Democrats in Congress have gone
along with them because they feared retribution if they didn’t.
Now that those same politicians are starting to hear from patriotic
Americans like yourself just how fed up we are with them doing
nothing about the invasion of illegal aliens, they’re suddenly not
quite as worried about pleasing Reid, Pelosi, and the left wing
lobbies. They’re more worried about the number one fear of every
politician – getting thrown out of office. They’re hearing your
anger, and they’re responding.
This is highly encouraging. After the November elections, there
was a feeling among many conservatives that the situation is
hopeless, and that there was no way to turn back the liberal tide
in Washington. Thankfully, most patriotic Americans didn’t give in
to that despair, but redoubled their efforts to turn this nation
around. Now those efforts are starting to show some fruit. So
let’s keep up the good work. Now more than ever we need to be
calling, writing and faxing our elected officials in DC to keep the
pressure on, and make sure that these amendments are passed. These
bills can make a real dent in the illegal immigration problem, so
let’s do our best to make sure our Congressmen and Senators know
exactly how important these amendments are to us.

Just getting back from vacation…it is great to be back to what I love doing…and that is working from home. Seriously, I have no morning and evening commutes, no boss, no assholes breathing now my neck because they are unhappy with their own life’s. So, “why home you ask?’, at home it is just me and the good ole computer, my dogs Harley and Haley, my kids Freedom & Skyla (home for summer break), and that about does it, unless you want to count my wife’s four cats…personally I just not a cat lover and I have teased my wife that one day my German Shepherds will be eating them for lunch…and her course she says” you better not”…and yes you guess it…I’m having some real fun by teasing her about those fun loving cats…I truly thinks she loves those cats more than me….lol!!
Anyways being home gives me more time to do what it is I want to do, and plus I am much more happier. Also my creativity sores without interruptions, especially from other egotistic maniacs telling me that my ideas will never work. OK, anyways thanks for reading thus far, I just wanted to share the my good feelings about working from home, and to let everyone know that I’m glad to be back to what makes me happy. I really hope that my posts can help someone with their online businesses… thanks JPB / TheWebWarrior
